Articles
Would you like to submit an article to us concerning one of the
topics on this site? We are interested in reading and posting well-writtten,
researched articles on Canadian history. There is no budget to pay
for them, but if your article is accepted, you will be credited.
Articles should be kept brief and to the point, since this is the
web. Our editor will read the article and may make changes to it,
such as breaking it into smaller sections to cross multiple pages,
or correcting spelling and grammar before posting.
Articles should include your main references at the least. This
can come in the form of oral histories or personal experiences but
should be backed by sources that can be verified.
Articles will be posted with your name. We will not publish anything
written by "Anonymous". We will include a brief 25-word
bio if you provide one, stating who you are and your background
in history or your topic.
You retain full copyright of the article and may publish it elsewhere,
unless you choose to donate it to the Visual Past Inc. By sending
the article, we assume that we have the right to post it online.

with a subject line stating that it is an article and the topic.
This is important since we automatically delete emaisl that looks
like spam. Your subject line should look something like "An
article on 17th century carriage clocks."
3D Models
Would you like to submit a model to us related to Canadian history?
If your model is accepted, you will be given full credit on our
site.
Models should be sent to us as zip files contained an Atmosphere
file and .jpg textures. If you do not have Atmospere, you may submit
an .ase file, along with the .jpg textures, in .zip format. We will
not publish the raw (ie. .max file) only the Atmosphere one. You
retain full copyright of the file unless you choose to donate it
to the Visual Past Inc. By sending the article, we assume that we
have the right to post it as an Atmosphere or Flash model, online.
Atmosphere and .ase models should be submitted along with a photo
or picture of the object or scene you are depicting.
Alternatively, we will post jpegs and brief avi format movies in
our gallery.
Models will be posted with your name and email link if you have
one. We will not publish anything submitted by "Anonymous".
