Schneider Haus
When the Schneiders built their new frame home, it was smaller than the current version and stucco'd. Later an extension was added and the doors and windows on that corner of the house were modified. The house was given a white clapboard finish using wood from the Schneider's sawmill. A granny flat was added for the elder Schneiders.

Over the years there were more changes. In the 1920s the house was partitioned into two apartments. All of that work had to be undone to return the house to its 1850s splendour.
